Personal Account Statements Help

The following solutions answer the questions most frequently asked by LCS Personal Account Statement users.

Q1: Where do I find the Student Record ID?
All methods of payment require a unique Student Record ID for each student, which is available from:
  • any student account statement issued by Lakefield College School; or,
  • our Admissions team <admissions@lcs.on.ca> for all Registration Fee payments.

However, in two special cases, please use the following as the Student Record ID:
  • 44010011 for all Application Fee payments only; or,
  • 47000001 for all Summer Online Academy Fee payments only.

It is very important to include the correct Student Record ID with each payment to ensure the payment is credited to your account. If possible, it is also recommended that payments include the student’s full name.

Depending on the payment option, you may also need to provide some or all of the following details to ensure proper delivery of your payment:

  • Payee or Recipient Name: Lakefield College School
  • Account Number: provide the Student Record ID as outlined above
  • Note or Comment: provide the student’s full name and Student Record ID
Q2: What is my best payment option, if I have a Canadian bank account?
  1. Online banking, as it is fast and adds no additional bank fees for a payment.

Please visit your personal online bank to make a payment, using the correct
Student Record ID as the account number.

  2. Pay by cheque, bank draft, or money order, which is slower but may also be free of additional bank fees.

Please remit your cheque, bank draft, or money order, using the correct
    Student Record ID, to:

    Lakefield College School
    4391 County Rd 29
    Lakefield ON K0L 2H0

  3. Not recommended: Canadian banks will also offer to accept payment for Lakefield College School, or do direct bank to bank transfers. These options are not recommended as Canadian banks do not provide sufficient details for the school to know where the funds originated, or that a student account payment has been made.
Q3: What is my best payment option, if I want to pay with a Canadian credit card?
Pay online via our third-party partner Plastiq.

https://www.plastiq.com/cardholder_ui/login

Plastiq charges an additional fee of 2.5% on Visa, MasterCard, and American Express accounts, and payments can take 5 to 7 days to be processed. Using your Canadian bank account to make a payment would be a no cost and faster option.
Q4: What is my best payment option, if I have an International bank account?
  1. Pay online via our third-party partner WU GlobalPay for Students. GlobalPay for Students lists all fees up front in the currency of your choice, and guarantees that the correct amount arrives quickly in your LCS account in Canadian dollars. Their exchange rates and bank fees are often lower than any other international money transfer option.

    Please note that
GlobalPay for Students often requires that you complete the online transaction by visiting your online bank or local bank in person within 72 hours, and that GlobalPay for Students operates via additional partners in China and India which may add their own transaction fees.

  2. We also accept wire transfers from international banks. Please note that wire transfers often arrive with incomplete funds due to hidden bank fees and exchange rates that change after the transfer is initiated. Wire transfers can also take several days to arrive.
    • Payee or Recipient Name: Lakefield College School
    • Payee or Recipient Account Number: 54-00317
    • Payee or Recipient Branch Code: 010
    • Payee or Recipient Transit Number: 04942
    • Payee or Recipient Swift Code: CIBCCATT
    • Payee or Recipient Bank: Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, 37 Queen St, Lakefield ON, Canada K0L 2H0
Q5: What is my best payment option, if I wish to pay with an International credit card?
  1. Pay online with your credit card via WU GlobalPay for Students which offers favourable and upfront exchange rates. However, this option is only available at this time from China and India.

  2. If GlobalPay for Students does not accept credit cards from your country, pay online via our third-party partner Plastiq.

    https://www.plastiq.com/cardholder_ui/login

Plastiq charges an additional fee of 2.5% on Visa, MasterCard, and American Express accounts, and payments will be made at an exchange rate set by your credit card provider. Using your International bank account to make a payment via WU GlobalPay for Students would likely be a less expensive option.
