Worked full-time with children aged 4 to 11: took part in organizing and implemeting daily activities and outings based on the interests and abilities of the children involved in the discipline/safety aspects of supervision, as well as keeping the preschool facilities clean and organized.
1999Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach, Whitehorse, Yukon.
Coached girls aged 4 to 8 on a weekly basis, organized classes and taught skills, routines.
Summer 1998Babysitter for 2 children ages 9 months and 4 years. Prepared snacks and meals, organized activities.

    • Senior in Charge of Community Service at Lakefield College School. Responsible for organizing all community service activities at the school in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh Program involving approximately 100 students.

    • Assistant Trip Leader of Expedition.
      Organizing and leading a 4-day camping/canoeing expedition of 7 girls into Algonquin Park.

    • Selected by peers as 1 of 4 students delegates representing Lakefield College School at 24-member Round Square Conference at Rannoch School, Scotland
    • Awarded Stephen Thompson Prize at June Closing Ceremonies.
      (Awarded to an intermediate student who works hard, develops his/her abilities to the utmost, and takes on certain responsibilities which may cut across personal interests.)
1997/98
    • Received award for work and research promoting the future of Northern Ontario Trapper/Native population. (Kapuskasing District High School sponsored this long-term project involving research, interviews and mall exhibits.)
    • Awarded Most Dedicated Rower honour for Junior Rowing Crew.
